Reviews from current families

These are the most recent Google reviews featured on our website, posted between July and September 2025. They are the kind of childcare reviews St Ives families tell us they found useful: specific about the educators, the rooms and how their child changed. There are more on our Google listing, and we link to them below.

★★★★★

We are so grateful to have found this daycare. The educators are incredibly attentive, warm, and welcoming, and it really shows in how well our little one has settled in since starting here. The environment is always clean, safe, and inviting, and even the little details like how nice it smells make such a difference. We have also noticed amazing growth in our child's development, picking up new motor skills and becoming more confident socially in such a short time. As busy parents, we especially appreciate that they offer breakfast, which has been a huge help to our mornings. Overall, we feel confident and at ease knowing our child is cared for in such a nurturing and enriching environment.

I cannot recommend Lead Early Learning centre enough. This centre provides a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment. The staff are very caring and friendly, they ensure the children's learning needs are all met and dedicate their time to each child's growth. The quality of learning at LELC is very impressive, it truly is a wonderful space for early education.

I highly recommend this place. The teachers are excellent, and the building, recently built, is very clean and well-maintained. My kids come home from playing here and say they want to come back again.

Reading between the stars

What parents mention most

The educators come up in every single review. After that, parents most often write about a warm and welcoming feel, their child's learning and development, cleanliness and safety. We counted each theme across the eight reviews above so you can see the pattern for yourself rather than take our word for it.

Educators and staff8 of 8
Warm, welcoming feel4 of 8
Learning and development4 of 8
Clean rooms and building3 of 8
Feeling safe3 of 8
Inclusions and value2 of 8

The educator theme matters most to us. Each room keeps its own team of educators, which means a familiar hello at the door each morning for children and parents alike.

Clean rooms are mentioned three times without prompting. One parent even noticed how the centre smells, which is the sort of detail you only pick up at drop-off every day.

Two reviews touch on what the fee covers. Breakfast is one of five meals and snacks included each day, and the daily fee also covers nappies, wipes, sunscreen and our extracurricular sessions. See the full list on what our fee includes.

One parent compared us with a previous centre. We cannot speak for other services, but that kind of comparison is worth asking about when you talk to families yourself.

Looking ahead to Kindergarten

School readiness outcomes

None of these reviews describes a child's first weeks at school, so we will not claim results they do not mention. What reviewers do describe are the early foundations: settling well, new motor skills, growing social confidence and a child who wants to come back each day.

Those foundations are exactly what our School Readiness Program builds on in the preschool year, the year before Kindergarten.

The program covers early literacy and numeracy, resilience, social skills, self-help and independence.

We also work with local schools on the move from preschool into Kindergarten, so the change feels familiar rather than sudden.

As more of our children start school, we will ask their families to share how the transition went. Read the detail on our School Readiness Program page.

What reviewers noticed early

  • New motor skills
  • More confidence with other children

Your turn

Leave us a review

If your child attends Lead, the easiest way to leave a review is on our Google listing. Open the link below, choose Write a review, pick a star rating and add a few lines. It takes about two minutes, and it helps other families nearby make their own choice.

Specific reviews help most. What did your child enjoy? How did settling in go? What would you tell a friend who was deciding?

Honest feedback is welcome, including the less glowing kind. If something is not right, we would rather hear it first, so please also talk to your child's educator or the Nominated Supervisor.

Please write about your own family's experience. Google's review policies apply to every review, and the words stay yours.

Families still deciding can hear from ours in person on a tour, or start the process on our enrolment page. Prefer to talk first? Call us on (02) 7238 8668.

Where can I read independent reviews?+

Our Google listing holds every review families have posted, not just those on this page. For an independent view of quality, check our rating on StartingBlocks.gov.au, where the regulator's assessment is public. Our quality rating page explains that result, and a tour lets you speak with families yourself.
