Our story — how Portable Pods started.
Portable Pods was founded on a simple observation: Australians needed a smarter way to add space without renovating, without waiting six months for a builder, and without sacrificing design. Traditional sheds were ugly. Granny flats were expensive and slow. Shipping container conversions felt industrial. We wanted to build something better — modern, light-filled, and genuinely beautiful.
We designed our flagship 6×3m glass office pod around three principles: glass-first transparency to connect indoor and outdoor space, flat-pack engineering so the kit could ship anywhere in Australia by crane truck, and a six-day assembly process that any homeowner can complete with basic tools.
