I'm Lorena. After more than a decade in the wellness industry, I built this practice around something simple — treating every body with patience, intuition and skilled hands. No two sessions are the same, and no two bodies arrive in the same place.
I'm fully qualified in Remedial Massage through Demi International, and trained in traditional Kahuna Bodywork at Mette's Institute through all three levels. That means I can blend deep therapeutic work with the flowing, restorative qualities of a Hawaiian session — adapting to what your body is asking for on the day.
What I love most about this work is the conversation that happens through touch. Whether you arrive carrying a long-standing injury, looking for emotional release through Kahuna bodywork, or simply wanting an hour to switch off — I listen, I tailor, and I show up fully present. What's the difference between remedial and Kahuna massage?
Remedial massage is therapeutic and targeted — it addresses specific issues like tight muscles, postural pain, or injury recovery using deeper, focused techniques. Sessions usually move through assessment, deep tissue work on problem areas, and stretching. Kahuna bodywork is a traditional Hawaiian modality with long, flowing forearm strokes that work the whole body in continuous, rhythmic movements — it's as much an emotional and energetic experience as a physical one. Do I need a referral for remedial massage?
No referral needed. You can book directly online or by sending a message. If you're claiming through Medicare under a Chronic Disease Management plan, you'll need a referral from your GP — but for standard private health fund rebates or self-funded sessions, you can book straight in.
Can I claim my massage through private health insurance?
Yes — for remedial massage sessions. I'm an ANTA-accredited member, which means most major Australian private health funds recognise my provider number. After your session I'll give you a receipt with all the details your fund needs. Submit through your fund's app or website to receive your rebate. Kahuna bodywork and mobile-only sessions aren't claimable. More on rebates.
Do you come to my home for mobile massage?
Yes. I bring everything — a professional massage table, fresh linens, premium oils and ambient music if you'd like. All you need is a quiet space roughly 2m by 1m with a bit of room to move around it. I arrive 15 minutes early to set up. A small travel surcharge applies for addresses more than 20km from Valdora.
