Karim is a Fellow Chartered Health and Safety Professional of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). He holds a master's degree in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management, a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, diplomas in OHS/WHS and 18 years of experience in successfully managing HSE risks in challenging and high-risk industries.
Karim is a certified project, change & risk manager. He is also a certified lead auditor, trainer, assessor and investigator. Karim has been responsible for corporates' systems, strategy and operational support during various phases such as build-up/construction, start-up, operation, mega projects, maintenance and decommissioning.
Karim can provide extensive experience in managing HSE in multidisciplinary and multicultural high-risk industries, ensuring compliance with current WHS legislation, promoting behavioural-based safety and cultural change initiatives to overcome human failures, and driving continual improvement throughout the organisation.
