A 24-hour fever-free period is a common centre policy, not a NSW Health rule; the page says exactly that and describes it as the usual practice. CLIENT TO CONFIRM: Lead's written illness policy (fever threshold for calling families, 24-hour fever-free return, whether a doctor's note is ever requested).\n- The quick decision guide is interactive (choose a symptom, see a general guide). It is labelled general information, not medical advice.\n- Lead facts: notify absence by 10:30am (live FAQs). class=\"hero-p\">Daycare sickness is one of the hardest calls parents make, usually at 6:30 in the morning with work looming. The short answer: a fever, vomiting or diarrhoea, or a condition NSW Health lists for exclusion all mean a day at home, and so does being too unwell to enjoy the day.
