Before the first full day, you and your child come in for short visits and a meet-and-greet with the educators in their room. You are welcome to stay, and we build a transition plan that suits your child's age and temperament.<\/p>\n      <p>Visits can get a little longer each time, so the room becomes familiar before you leave for a whole day.<\/p>\n      <p>We ask about sleep, feeding, comfort items and words your child uses, so educators can copy the routines they already know.<\/p>\n      <p>We also ask what worries you most. Knowing that a parent is anxious about naps, or eating, lets educators send the reassurance that matters.<\/p>\n      <p>On the first days, you receive updates and photos through the KinderM8 app, which helps many parents relax at work.<\/p>\n      <p>Some families choose shorter days in the first week or two, then build up to full days. Your bag needs a named drink bottle, sheets or a sleeping bag for rest time, a hat, any formula your baby uses, a few changes of clothes, and something comforting from home such as a soft toy, blanket or dummy.<\/p>\n      <p>Label everything with your child's name, including the bottle, the hat and each piece of clothing.<\/p>\n      <p>Choose clothes that can get messy. Paint, sand and cooking all happen here.<\/p>\n      <p>Shoes matter too. Closed shoes that your child can put on alone make outdoor play safer and build independence at the same time.<\/p>\n      <p>A familiar comfort item helps with rest time and those first goodbyes.<\/p>\n      <p>Everything else is provided: five meals and snacks each day, nappies and wipes, sunscreen, and all the materials for play, art and learning.<\/p>\n      <p>Keep the first morning calm. The $6.99 withheld each day may come back to you when your subsidy is balanced after the financial year.<\/p>\n      <p>Your own numbers depend on income, days and any younger siblings in care. The second and younger children can attract a higher subsidy rate, up to 95% depending on family income, which can make a real difference to the combined gap. The cost estimator handles this for you.<\/p>\n      <p>The subsidy also covers up to 42 absence days per child each financial year, including public holidays, so a sick day does not cost you the full fee. Let us know by 10:30am through the app when your child will be away.<\/p>\n      <p>Families who do not claim the subsidy can still enrol, but pay the full daily fee.
